Chapter 2;Part 2-: Explain the functions of the hardware components, commonly found inside the system unit, such as the CPU, memory, buses, and expansion cards.

The CPU does the vast majority of work of the computer.

Buses are they electronic paths over which data can travel. Expansion buses connect the CPU to peripheral devices.

Randon Access Memory or RAM is the temporary memory that a computer uses. RAM is very volitile and is can be lost when the computer shuts down. High speed memory that is built into the CPU are Registers. There is also Read Only Memory of ROM which is permanently stored on the computer & retrived when needed.

Expansion cards are inserted into the motherboard of the computer to add functions to the computer or to attach a device.
