All storage systems have specific characteristics:
*Storage medium - what the data is stored on e.g CD/DVD
*Storage device - the device into which the storage medium is inserted to be used e.g CD/DVD Drive
Memory
RAM (random access memory)is temporary memory that the computer uses.It holds data and memory ehile there ae needed. It is volatile.
ROM (read-only memory) are non erasable chips in which programes or data are permanently stored. They are located in the motherboard.
